The Three Times She Knocked

This past week, I started rehearsals for a play I am directing for FringeNYC 2011.

The Three Times She Knocked by writer A.D. Penedo.

The Three Times She Knocked is a present day story of a middle-aged office worker who is struggling with his overwhelming obsession for an alluring young newlywed who has just joined the PR firm. What happens when unbridled passion goes unchecked? In a time of Anthony Wiener, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Chris Hansen, The Threes Times She Knocks takes the idea of an "office Crush" to a whole new level.

The Three Times She Knocked is produced by Flying Squirrel Theatricals, the Producers behind the Off-Broadway bound Jurassic Parq: The Broadway Musical and the upcoming Broadway Show GODSPELL. The 3TSK boasts a talented cast with actors Bob D'Haene and Isabel Richardson.

A.D. Penedo has written Who’s Your Baghdaddy: Or How I Started the Iraq War, On a Glorious Day, The Chocolate Tree, Thursday, Where It’s At, Swimming Upstream (FringeNYC ’05).

It's going to be a fantastic and passionate show! Buy your tickets now!

Hanging With the Creative Team of The Last Word - Part 1

Some of the latest and most fun news is I'm in preparations to work on the most coolest project! I'm working on a musical which will be presented in The New York Musical Theatre Festival. The current title of the piece is The Last Word. (Right now we are holding a competition to rename the musical. If you want to be a part of this awesome event, you can have a chance to put your stamp on our work. More details here.....Help re-name our NYMF show!!)

It's a musical set in the 1940s. The story follows two brothers who are musicians during the rise and fall of the jazz scene on Central Avenue in Los Angeles. It's loosely based on the biblical story of Cain and Able.

It's a new piece and a big project. I'm having a fantastic time working on the material and collaborating with the creative team.

The book is by writer, Josh Sohn. The music is composed by composer, Kevin Ray. With additional story by producer, Suellen Vance. It's a fabulous team and I'm honored to working with them.

Here is a little behind the scenes footage from the creative team of The Last Word.
