FENCES: Trinity Repertory Company

Directing FENCES for Trinity Repertory Company was an honor. As an artist, I challenged myself to share August’s story in a way that’s unique yet reverential to the Wilson canon. By presenting the story as a memory play, through Rose’s point of view, we were able to examine some specific nuances of an already compelling story. One could say the production is in dedication to the women in our lives who hold our communities together. I’m grateful to the cast and creative team who took the vision to heart and delivered a production with grace and imagination.
